Bangladesh government sends house-maids to different countries. In this case, the recruiting agencies take the role of only the operators. All house-maids are recruited free of cost. The respective employer bears all the expenditure of processing cost and service charge. Unfortunately, there are only a few instances in which some female housemaids fall a victim to physical and mental torture. To minimize this sort of tortures at the workplace, Unified Overseas Ltd. RL-2644 takes the following steps.
- Recruitment is approved only under the written consent of the legal guardian.
- After the completion of all trainings suggested by the government and before the departure, an effective orientation programme is done so that the worker or the employee can get a clear picture of the working environment and can be mentally ready for the new workplace.
- To communicate with the agency, a hotline number is given to the employees so that they can contact 24/7 in case of emergency.
- After landing the destination country, the family of the worker is notified of his/her arrival at the earliest time possible.
- The condition of the workplace, accommodation and food, salary and communication with the family are monitored closely by Unified Overseas Ltd.
- In case of any incoherence or anything that is disliked by the worker, we change the working station/employer with the help of counterpart agency of the destination country. This process may be done repeatedly if unsuitable situation is created again and again.
- If we fail to solve any problem even after the help of the counterpart agency, we inform the particulars of the worker and his problems in detail to BMET and keep in touch with the family of the employee.
- Unified Overseas Ltd is committed to compensate financially if the worker is forced to return to the country being tortured physically and mentally. In a word, we adopt all the measures to bring the sufferer back to normal life.
